Downtown Stockton is surrounded by a number of diverse, historic residential neighborhoods, within biking or walking distance of downtown business, entertainment, and recreational amenities. Distinguished by a wide range of architecturally significant buildings, tree lined streets, and an active waterfront district, the City of Stockton is focused on creating a better downtown for its citizens and guests.
The City of Stockton's Central Parking District (CPD) administers the City's surface lots and parking structures in the Downtown area, including the Stewart Eberhardt Parking Structure located at El Dorado Street and Weber Avenue. The CPD is operated by an Advisory Board appointed by the City Council. Capital improvements, maintenance and operating expenses of the CPD are funded by an ad valorem assessment on all property located within the District, charges for monthly and hourly parking privileges and other income from contract agreements with other entities.
Questions regarding the Central Parking District or information on part-time garage attendant employment opportunities may be directed to the Central Parking District Office.
