A STORY OF FASHION 2017

Celebrating its 10th year, this fashion extravaganza runway show returns on Friday, May 5, 2017 at 8 p.m. in the Shima Industrial Center on the Delta College campus.

The evening will be a night to remember, bringing together both established and emerging student designers and featuring 9 collections showcase by over 80 models, professionally styled by the best hair and makeup teams in the area. To celebrate the 10th Anniversary of this show, retrospective collections from past shows will also be featured in a special segment.

The show sells out every year, and seating is limited, so get your tickets today! ONLINE SALES WILL END AT 8pm THE NIGHT BEFORE THE SHOW MAY 4th. Tickets will be sold in at the door based on availability.

Stockton Fil-Am Lions Hawaiian Pancake Breakfast

Stockton Fil-Am Lions and Community Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired will host an Hawaiian Pancake Breakfast on Saturday, May 6, 2017, 7:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Center’s new location at 2453 Grand Canal Boulevard, Suite 5.

Menu includes all you can eat pancakes, linguica, scrambled eggs, fried rice, fruit, coffee, and fruit juice—a real bargain at $9 per person.

Proceeds benefit Community Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired, the only nonprofit agency in San Joaquin County that provides specialized services to those whose vision loss impairs THE tasks of daily living.

Full Moon Riders

Join us in our third year of Full Moon Riders(FMRs)! Bring your bicycle for casual evening rides along the Downtown Stockton historic waterfront. Riders meet May to October on a full moon night in front of the downtown cinema, following a different route each month.

After the ride, we meet at one of the participating downtown restaurants where FMRs can take advantage of Full Moon specials.

Ride schedule, 6 pm – 8 pm:

Wed, May 10 – Flower Moon

Fri, June 9 – Strawberry Moon

Sat, July 8 – Buck Moon

Mon, Aug 7 – Sturgeon Moon

Wed, Sep 6 – Harvest Moon

Thu, Oct 5 – Hunter’s Moon

The rides are casual, unsupported and ‘ride at your own risk’ events.

- Bring lights, tools to change a flat, water, a cell phone.

- After the ride, bicyclists enjoy Full Moon Riders’ specials at the participating restaurants.

- Free and secure parking for your bike provided.

- Children under 18 must wear a bicycle helmet and be accompanied by an adult.
