San Joaquin Potters Guild’s Fine Arts Festival Celebrates 24 Years.

The Fine Arts Festival will feature 30 professional artists.

Celebrating 24 years, the prestigious Fine Arts Festival hosts a free two-day celebration of art from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, November 17 and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, November 18, at the Spanos Community Center, St. Basil’s Greek Orthodox Church, 920 W. March Lane. Featuring outstanding art , the festival boasts 30 juried artists displaying their work.

Attendees will have the opportunity to shop and meet the artists. They will also enjoy demonstrations of ceramic “flame ware” by artist, Eric Struck, on Friday evening at 6 p.m. and Saturday at 11 a.m.

Also participating in this year’s event is the Potters for Peace organization. Potters for Peace is a US-based non-profit that works in two clay-related fields: working with subsistence potters in Central America and working throughout the world to assist with the establi
