Full Moon Riders

Join us in our third year of Full Moon Riders(FMRs)! Bring your bicycle for casual evening rides along the Downtown Stockton historic waterfront. Riders meet May to October on a full moon night in front of the downtown cinema, following a different route each month.

After the ride, we meet at one of the participating downtown restaurants where FMRs can take advantage of Full Moon specials.

Ride schedule, 6 pm – 8 pm: Thu, Oct 5 – Hunter’s Moon

The rides are casual, unsupported and ‘ride at your own risk’ events.

- Bring lights, tools to change a flat, water, a cell phone.

- After the ride, bicyclists enjoy Full Moon Riders’ specials at the participating restaurants.

- Free and secure parking for your bike provided.

- Children under 18 must wear a bicycle helmet and be accompanied by an adult.

Community Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired (CCBVI) will host the third annual White Cane Safety - Blind Americans Equality Day on Tuesday, October 17, at noon. Join us at Caldwell Park (southwest corner of Pacific and West Alpine Avenues).

Dining In The Dark

Community Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired will host Dining In The Dark on Friday, October 27. The first of its kind in San Joaquin County, guests will wear sleep shades to experience a greater awareness of other senses. This event offers a glimpse into an unfamiliar world.

Chef Paul Ratto, Heritage Dining and Provisions at Waterloo Gun and Bocce, will serve up delicious delicacies using fresh local ingredients. Cost is $75 per person and includes a seven-course meal as well as blind olive oil and wine tastings, raffle, and silent auction.

Proceeds benefit Community Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired.The nonprofit agency serves San Joaquin County and provides resource to people who are blind or have low vision re-establish purpose and self esteem in their lives.
