Public Art

The Public Art Advisory Committee (PAAC) is a standing subcommittee of the Stockton Arts Commission. The PAAC is responsible for administering the City's Public Art Program.

Their work includes:

  • developing a public art plan for the City and
  • reviewing and recommending designs, artists, and public art projects for the enjoyment and appreciation of Stockton residents.

Victory Park Public Art Project

On behalf of the City of Stockton, the Stockton Arts Commission has selected 3 artists after a Request for Proposals for a new piece of public art in the northeast corner of Victory Park. The final round of this project is designed to receive feedback from the community. Community members are encouraged to participate by watching a video that shares information about the finalists and their proposed projects, then voting for their favorite art piece.

For more information, please visit the Victory Park Public Art webpage.

Public Art Projects

The City of Stockton's Public Art Program operates under the guidelines of the City's Public Art Master Plan. The plan designates art as an integral part of public capital projects.
