An internship in the City Attorney's Office is a great opportunity to obtain practical legal experience in a variety of areas. Be mentored by practicing attorneys in such areas as Employment, Civil Litigation, Advisory, and Prosecution. Anticipated assignments for interns include court appearances (if student is certified by the State Bar), motion practice, discovery, and legal research/writing.
An intern applicant must be a current law student at either an ABA- or CBA-accredited law school and provide proof of law school enrollment. Internships are unpaid but school credit may be available.
