Building & Life Safety Division

The City of Stockton Community Development Department Building & Life Safety Division is responsible for the enforcement of building codes, laws, ordinances, and regulations pertaining to building construction and remodeling within the City of Stockton.  The Building & Life Safety Division:

• accepts applications
• checks plans
• processes building permits
• performs inspections, and
• responds to complaints.

The Building & Life Safety Division also provides support for the Building and Housing Board of Appeals and Handicap Access Board of Appeals.
