2019 Repaving Project

Resurfacing of approximately 3 miles of major roadways in Stockton will begin in April 2019 on roadways with high traffic volume and poor pavement conditions. Resurfacing is expected to take about three months.

 

Project Description

The project includes resurfacing for:

  • Pershing Avenue, from March Lane to Brookside Road,
  • March Lane, from Feather River Drive to Riverbrook Drive, and
  • Arch Road, from B Street to State Highway 99.

The work is being done by George Reed, Inc., General Engineering Contractors.

 

 

Travel Tips

  • Work will take place between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
  • During these times, please do not park on street at any time.
  • One lane will be open at all times.
  • Businesses and residents will have access to street entrances and driveways.
  • Traffic will be impacted for short periods of time (5-10 minutes.)
    • At times, there will be more extensive delays when roadway grinding / paving operations occur. 
    • Flaggers will stop traffic for  5-10 minutes, until cars can be escorted through safely.
  • Watch for changing message signs and workers directing traffic.
  • The project is expected to conclude in July 2019.

Funding for this project is from the federal Regional Surface Transportation Program.
