Main Street Complete Streets

Main Street Project Area MapThe City of Stockton is in the process of completing a plan for future safety improvements along:

  • Main Street, between Highway 99 and downtown, and
  • Market Street in Downtown Stockton.
The goal of the project is to create a Complete Streets Plan, enhancing safety for all modes of travel. Project improvements include:

  • Reducing vehicle travel lanes
  • Adding bicycle lanes
  • Repairing sidewalks
  • Upgrading traffic signals and streetlights
The first phase of the project will improve main and market Streets from Downtown Stockton to Wilson Way.

Community meetings will be held:

April 3, 2024, 5:30 - 7:30 p.m.

May 23, 2024, 5:30 -7:30 p.m.
Fair Oaks Library
2370 E. Main St.
Stockton, CA 95205

A postcard with details about the community meetings will be sent to residents and businesses along the project route.  For more information, see the full News Release.

Funding
Funding for the project has been provided by the State of California via a mix of grants including ATP (Active Transportation Plan) and local Measure K.
