Miracle Mile Pedestrian Safety Improvements

The City of Stockton will begin construction of pedestrian safety improvements on the Miracle Mile. The Miracle Mile Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beason (RRFB) project is scheduled to begin in January 2024.

In addition to the RRFB, the project will include installation of bulbouts, and upgrade a curb and ramp at Pacific Avenue and Adams Street to current Americans with Disabilities (ADA) Act standards. Upgraded light fixtures will also be installed from Castle Street to Harding Way.

Depending on weather conditions, it is anticipated that construction will be completed by late spring or early summer.

During Construction
Pedestrians will be directed to the opposite side of the street. All those traveling in the area are asked to follow informational signage, be cautious, and slow down in the work area.

"No Parking" signs are posted in the construction area. Please remove vehicles parked near "No Parking" signs during the hours posted.  Vehicles parked in the posted work area will be towed at the owner's expense.
