Traffic Volume

The City of Stockton Public Works Traffic Engineering Division conducts a citywide Average Daily Traffic (ADT) volume count every two years if funds are available.

The Public Works Department also tracks traffic counts such as:

• pedestrians,
• turning movement at intersections,
• peak hour vehicles, and 
• vehicle classifications.  

This data is used to:

• plan changes and improvements, and
• develop a Traffic Volume Flow Map.
